Uprightness in a World of Deceit
In this world, injustice often seems to have the upper hand. We see deceitful actions succeed for a time, and it can be tempting to feel discouraged or respond in anger. Yet one truth stands firm: justice does not always happen instantly, but deceit rarely escapes consequences.
Why this delay? Because truth needs time to unfold. Not every intention is visible at first. God and life allow situations to mature so that judgment is fair and reality becomes undeniable. What seems like silence is often a period where character is revealed, both of those who deceive and those who remain righteous.
When we choose to stay upright and patient, we are not being passive. We are taking the higher and harder road. Our strength lies in maintaining honesty, dignity, and inner calm while letting God handle the balance of justice. This protects our peace, even when the world feels unfair.
Those who cheat or manipulate may enjoy temporary success, but truth eventually rises, and consequences follow. Meanwhile, those who stand firm in integrity walk with a clear conscience, holding on to peace that trickery can never obtain.
Patience is not weakness. It is faith in action. It is trusting that God sees everything and restores balance at the right time. By staying steadfast, we live a life grounded in principles that no deceit can shake.
"Justice doesn’t always happen instantly, but deceit rarely escapes consequences. By staying upright and patient, we let life (and God) handle the “balance” while we maintain peace." DJP
